Spreepanorama

Skyline of the urban sellout

Installation in Public Space
Spreebalkon | Berlin | 2021

The Spreebalkon in Berlin Kreuzberg is getting a new panorama panel.

The Spreebalkon is a 100 square meter public space at the end of Brommystraße in Berlin Kreuzberg and has been a silent witness to the real estate development of the opposite bank of the Spree since 2007.

In November and December 2021, the Spreebalkon will be complemented by the installation of a display board.

Display boards in mountainous areas provide extensive information about peaks and valleys in the surrounding landscape. In the same way, from November 6 to December 18, visitors of the Spreebalkon can follow the skyline of the urban sellout and marvel at the unreachable peaks of the city. A free telescope also makes it possible to take a closer look at these peaks.

Exhibition: 7th of November 2021 – 20th of March 2022
Midissage: 18th of December 18h – 21h

The project is part of Initiative DRAUSSENSTADT. Supported by Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa and Stiftung für Kulturelle Weiterbildung und Kulturberatung.
